Our Mission
International Medical Aid (IMA) is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization offering healthcare internships and global health education abroad. Our programs help high school students, undergraduates, gap year students, and recent graduates explore careers in medicine, physician assistant practice, nursing, dentistry, mental health, and other health professions.
Who We Are
Through programs in Kenya and Peru, you can learn alongside local healthcare professionals, observe clinical practice, attend global health lectures, and participate in community outreach and cultural activities. Available tracks vary by location.
Programs include clinical mentorship, housing, meals, local transportation, travel medical insurance, and 24/7 support. IMA emphasizes ethical participation, cultural understanding, and learning from the healthcare professionals and communities that host our students.
