Colorado Horse Rescue

Colorado Horse Rescue (CHR) rescues, rehabilitates, and adopts horses out to forever homes. We support individuals in the community through educational programs, referral services, financial assistance, and accepting necessary surrenders. Each year CHR assists dozens of horse owners by taking in their equine companions and finding new homes or offering short-term financial assistance. CHR has been instrumental in assisting during natural disasters, most recently in Boulder County after the devastating floods.

Yet for decades, they’ve remained out of reach for many women due to systemic bias, lack of access, and cultural gatekeeping. We’re here to change that. Through rigorous certification programs, hands-on training, and mentorship, we equip women with the skills, credentials, and confidence to step into these roles and own them. Our graduates don’t just meet industry standards—they learn them and may eventually write them. They become inspectors, enforcers, leaders, and advocates for safer structures in our communities. The Straley Project

The Straley Project helps young people in Barahona, Dominican Republic pursue baseball and softball while remaining in school. Through local coaches, education support, mentorship and year-round programs, we help youth build opportunities beyond the game.
