We are dedicated to advancing the craft and business of writing across film, television, theater, digital media, and beyond. SWN supports writers by offering educational programs, speaker events, script competitions, and other career-building opportunities. Our mission is to help writers understand the realities of the industry, improve their craft, and build meaningful connections through partnerships with working professionals. We are the leading group working to conserve the healthiest wild salmon, steelhead, and trout ecosystems across the North Pacific. We identify the strongest habitat and populations -- what we call "strongholds" for wild fish -- and preemptively protect them for the benefit of the people, wildlife, and jobs that rely on wild salmon to thrive. By investing resources in our healthiest watersheds and strongest salmon populations, we’re achieving the greatest conservation returns and are helping to ensure the long-term survival of the species.
