CASA for Children of Bergen County
CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) for Children of Bergen County believes every child who's been abused or neglected deserves to have a dedicated advocate speaking up for their best interest in court, at school and in our community. To accomplish this, CASA educates and empowers diverse community volunteers who ensure each child's needs remain a priority in an over-burdened child welfare system. When the state steps in to protect a child's safety because the people responsible for protecting them have not, a judge appoints a trained CASA volunteer to make independent and informed recommendations and help the judge decide what's best for the child.

Child Guidance Center of Southern CT, Inc.
The Child Guidance Center of Southern Connecticut provides mental health services to children struggling with psychological, behavioral, developmental, social, or family problems, age birth to 18, in Stamford, Greenwich, Darien, and New Canaan, Connecticut. Our purpose is to reduce emotional suffering and dysfunctional behavior, strengthen families, and help every child achieve their optimal potential. Children in our programs cope with a variety of factors that impact their health and happiness, including bullying, family difficulties, school challenges, neglect, or even physical and sexual abuse. We have a range of programs to meet the unique needs and circumstances of every child and family. From ongoing therapy to emergency crisis response, we ensure the safety of our youngest community members, teaching them to take charge and self-manage their challenges so that they can enjoy a strong, healthy childhood. To ensure that our services reach every corner of the community, we have five office locations including on-site at a charter school. Money is never a barrier to a child who needs our help, as no family is turned away. We provide financial assistance to families who cannot afford the cost of therapy, ensuring that children at greatest risk receive the help they need.

Handid Braille Services
Handid Braille Services provides timely delivery of media (including braille transcriptions, tactile graphics, large print, and online resources) in soft or hard-copy, proofreading, consulting and research facilitating creation, preparation and production of media for visually-impaired readers, with a focus on public-facing organizations and institutions. But organizations that could and should be producing braille documents and accessible online media often don't consider it when planning and budgeting. This means that producing braille becomes an extra cost they did not consider, which unfortunately leads to uncertainty and hesitation. Handid Braille Services is a 501(c)(3) corporation that uses resources from your donations to reduce or remove costs to organizations for producing braille and accessible content, thereby increasing access to braille and accessible media for readers who are blind and low vision.
