The CCNV’s mission is to ensure that the rights of the homeless and poor are not infringed upon, and that every person has access to life’s basic essentials – food, shelter, clothing and medical care. The CCNV is also committed to protecting the rights of the homeless, advocating on behalf of the underserved and preparing homeless men and women to re-enter into mainstream society as skilled and productive citizens.

Vanderheyden is a human services agency serving children, youth and young adults in family-style residences on its campus and in supervised group homes and apartments throughout the Capital Region of Albany, New York. Many of the individuals we serve have a diagnosis of bi-polar, attention deficit disorder, hyperactivity, or post-traumatic stress disorder. Others also have intellectual or developmental disabilities. Virtually all have experienced environments that are disordered, abusive, and/or neglectful. Our philosophy provides for living in physically and emotionally safe settings, an emphasis on healthy living, and individualized treatment plans to address emotional, physical, and mental challenges. We are Sanctuary-certified, meaning that our entire community is governed by a commitment to the following seven principles: nonviolence, emotional intelligence, social learning, open communications, social responsibility, shared governance, growth and change. Wild Dolphin Project
The Wild Dolphin Project is a non-profit scientific research organization that studies and reports on a specific pod of free-ranging Atlantic spotted dolphins (Stenella frontalis) in the Bahamas. Objectives of this long-term, non-invasive field research are to gather information on the natural history of these dolphins, including behaviors, social structure, communication, and habitat; and to report what we have learned to the scientific community and the general public. We believe in non-invasive work and primarily rely on photo and video identification, benign fecal collection for DNA work, and maintain a mutual respect for the animals we work with in the wild.
