WildEarth Guardians
WildEarth Guardians is a non-profit, environmental advocacy organization whose mission is to protect and restore the wildlife, wild places, wild rivers, and health of the American West. The organization was founded in 1989 and has a long history of conservation successes protecting carnivores, ancient forests, rivers and other threatened landscapes and wildlife. We have more than 105,000 members and e-activists, the majority of whom live in the eleven Western states. The organization currently operates four major programs: Wildlife, Wild Places, Wild Rivers, and Climate and Energy. Our 25 person staff includes lawyers, policy experts, biologists, ecosystem restoration experts and fundraisers. Our 2015 budget is $3.5 million, which comes from diverse sources, including members and donors, foundations, government grants and recovered legal fees. We have offices in Santa Fe, New Mexico; Portland, Oregon; Salt Lake City Utah; Laramie, Wyoming; Missoula, Montana; San Francisco and San Deigo, California; Boulder and Denver, Colorado; and Tucson, Arizona.

CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates. CASA of the South Plains recruits, trains, and supports a diverse community of volunteers who advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in the foster care system. These volunteers serve as Advocates for children that are victims of abuse and neglect and provide these children a voice while their case is in the court system. CASA’s vision is to provide: A CASA volunteer for every child; who strives to secure a safe, nurturing, permanent environment for every child.

Chicago Tiny House, Inc. exists to create tiny house communities throughout Chicago that will provide homeless Chicagoans with safe, cost-effective housing and integrated supportive services. We have been helping the homeless of Chicago for over 30 years collectively. Specifically working with the Uptown Tent City over the last two years. Tent City housed an estimated population of 70 people. Who all lived under the bridges of Wilson and Lawrence Avenues at Lake Shore Drive. Our cause does not stop with the elimination of this community. We are completely volunteer-powered by bringing together concerned citizens, advocates, lawmakers, and donors. So, we can bring shelter, food, and supportive services to our most vulnerable neighbors, greatly reducing homelessness. While helping them move forward with dignity. Chicago Tiny House has partnered with, and is in touch with, both sides of the housing problem. We are knowledgeable about, and actually live alongside, our target demographic. We have created a growing database of followers, developers, donors, contractors, government agencies, and laborers. So, we bring a unique perspective and experience to this process. We are committed Chicagoans with small-business acumen as well as having a boots-on-the-ground relationship with our local homeless population. Our hope is to propose, implement, and operate Chicago’s first Tiny House Community. We can’t do it alone. Mid-South Spay & Neuter Services is a 501(c)3 non-profit clinic dedicated to reducing pet overpopulation and high euthanasia rates by offering affordable spay and neuter surgeries to the public. The clinic has operated since 2005 and has performed over 35,000 spay and neuter procedures and counting. In addition, the clinic offers age-appropriate pet vaccinations and micro-chipping, which are done at time of surgery.
